The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Heartland Chapter cordially invites you to attend our fourth chapter meeting on Thursday, September 1, 2005.

The topic for this meeting is Risk and Crisis Management and will include the following discussion:

"In the wake of recent events, the NACD and other groups have advocated a variety of reforms, and many of them have become the law of the land and are poised to become listing requirements for the NYSE and Nasdaq. However, if true reform is to occur, directors must be a permanent and active part of the solution. Above all, risk oversight must be a priority for all boards, especially in turbulent times.

Directors who understand risk management and crisis management will be able to question management effectively about these matters and to provide guidance (and even leadership) when needed. Only then will boards be able to provide the oversight and the checks and balances that their fiduciary obligations to shareholders require.”

-NACD Blue Ribbon Commission on Risk Oversight (Fall 2002)

Dave Lockton, Chairman of the Board of Lockton Insurance Company, Mike Brown, CEO with Euronet, and J. Otis Winters, former lead director of Dynegy, will be the featured speakers.
