The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Heartland Chapter cordially invites you to attend our next chapter meeting on Thursday, February 2, 2006.

The topic for this meeting is Both Sides Now: Looking At Board Recruitment From The Board and Candidate Perspectives and will include the following discussion:

Given the growing complexity and scrutiny of corporate governance today, building high-functioning boards has never been more challenging.  If you're building a board, how do you identify and recruit candidates who bring the right chemistry and complementary skills?  If you're being asked to join a board, how can you clarify roles, requirements, and expectations to ensure a good fit?

At the February 2, 2006 meeting a distinguished panel of speakers, including  Dan Hesse, CEO, Sprint Nextel's Local Telecommunication Division, Don Pratt, Chairman & CEO, Western Investments, and Jeannine Strandjord, Retired - Sprint as Senior VP & Chief Integration Office, will examine board recruitment from both sides of the table--what boards should look for in new members and what prospective members should look for in boards.
